Company president and chief pilot, Mr. L.A. Glass, learned to fly when he was only 12 years old with his dad. At the age of 19, he obtained his F.A.A. private pilot license while serving in the Army. That was back in 1972 and he’s been flying regularly ever since.
After flying thousands of hours all across this magnificent country of ours, in 2007 Mr. Glass picked up the hobby of building his own drones and using them for drone photography. He also started racing them and did quite well. Recently, the FAA introduced drone piloting law changes and he became a F.A.A. commercially certified *sUAS (drone) pilot.
What started out as a hobby has turned into a professional drone piloting endeavor. Mr. Glass currently offers drone photography, still photos and drone video services to businesses across the country.
HexCopter with 3 axis Gimbal
Below is a HexCopter built by Mr. Glass around 2012. Although very rough looking today, at the time, this was pretty much state-of-the-art. It had a powerful camera and many features that are just now starting to show up in today’s drones.
* sUAS stands for Small Unmanned Aircraft System. A F.A.A. term.
